LETTER OF INTEREST/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
NAVY TEMPERATE DRAWERS

The purpose of this Letter of Interest (LOI)/ Request for
Information (RFI) is to inform Industry that the Department of
National Defence (DND) has identified a requirement for
temperate drawers for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).

This LOI/RFI solicits the participation of industry for feedback
on the following:

To create a dialogue between Canada and the industry with the
view of determining industry's capability to address the
purchase of two styles of drawers, Type 1 (Men's) and Type II
(Women's).
Understanding capability and availability of potential existing
commercial solutions and their general price point .
Identifying comments and concerns with the requirements and
insight into any related alternative.

The results of this LOI/RFI will be used to aid in the
specification development and purchase of an approximate
quantity of 150,000 drawers Type I and 30,000 drawers Type II.

This RFI will not result in the award of any contract,
therefore, potential suppliers of any goods described in this
RFI should not earmark facilities, nor allocate resources, as a
result of any information contained in this RFI. Nor will this
RFI result in the creation of any source list, therefore,
whether or not any potential supplier responds to this RFI will
not preclude that supplier from participating in any future
procurement. Also, the procurement of any of the goods described
in this RFI will not necessarily follow this RFI. This RFI is
not considered as an authorization by PWGSC to undertake any
work that would result in costs to PWGSC or DND.

Because this is not a bid solicitation, Canada will not
necessarily respond to enquiries in writing or by circulating
answers to all potential suppliers. However, respondents with
questions regarding this notice may direct their enquiries to
the Contracting Authority identified below.

Technical information can be sent in either official language of
Canada.
