The Department of National Defence has a requirement to purchase
Casters to be used for engine/transmission repair and
replacement in support of the Army Tank Replacement Project and
as spare parts for stock replenishment.
Background:
Fleet Maintenance Facility Cape Breton has been tasked to
support Army requirements for 11 Leopard 2A4 powerpack dolly as
part of the Army Tank Replacement Project.
On the Leopard Tank dolly assembly drawings, qty 4 Wheels or
equivalent are required (two fixed caster and 2 swivel casters).
Design team modified Original NATO design to fit unique Canadian
requirements but maintained as much of the original design
including dolly wheels due to proven capability within NATO/CF.
Project required parts as per design plus 2 spare wheels for the
fixed and the swivel style as part of this contract.
