Requirement
Passport Canada (PPTC) has a requirement to purchase two hundred
twelve (212) identical scanners with platens and Automatic
Document Feeders (ADF). This requirement is part of a larger
requirement of scanners for Passport Canada.
The minimum scanning speed is 40 Pages Per Minute (PPM). Please
refer to Annex A of the solicitation for full Technical
Specifications.
There is an optional requirement to purchase up to one thousand
six hundred seventy-three (1,673) additional scanners over the
next three (3) years for this requirement. If the original model
is not available as it has reached its End Of Life (EOL) a
compatible substitution model can be offered from the company.
However, this new model must meet the mandatory requirements of
this RFP. This new model also needs to be tested by PPTC and be
deemed compatible before it can be accepted as a substitution
model.
Delivery
Passport Canada requires the immediate supply and delivery of
the two hundred twelve (212) scanners to the National Capital
Region by 31 August 2012.
Security
There is no security requirement associated with this
requirement.
Trade Agreements
This requirement is subject to the provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), World Trade Organization
- Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Canada-Peru
Free Trade Agreement(CPFTA) and the Canada-Colombia Free Trade
Agreement (CCFTA).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
