Expansion
SCOPE OF WORK:
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) requires their existing
laboratory operation, located in the Health Canada (HC) facility
at 2301 Midland Avenue, Scarborough, Ontario, to be renovated
and expanded. This renovation project is an outcome of plans to
improve lab processes, functionality and to reduce the risk of
cross-contamination between lab operations.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) intends to
retain an architectural firm as prime consultant specializing in
laboratory Containment Level CLII or higher expertise with
support of same lab CLII expertise for mechanical engineers,
electrical engineers and other specialized services for the
provision of the services required for this project.
RFP DETAILS:
This Request for Proposal (RFP) is a One-Phase process,
Proponents responding to this RFP are requested to submit only
one proposal. Proposals are to cover the achievements of the
Proponent on projects, expertise and experience of the Lead
Engineer, expertise and experience of key sub-consultant and/or
specialists, understanding of the project, scope of services,
approach and methodology, management of services and pricing.
The Proponent whose responsive proposal achieves the highest
total score is the first entity that the PWGSC Evaluation Board
will recommend be approached in order to finalize details of an
agreement for the provision of the required services.
The purpose is to select the highest ranked experienced firm of
consultants, sub-consultants and specialists to provide full
engineering services for the lab expansion.
ESTIMATED CONTRACT VALUE:
The preliminary cost estimate for the Construction Contract for
this project is $1.8 M (HST exlcuded).
