Public Works and Government Services Canada has a requirement
for the following: (1) Demolition of Interior office space
including flooring, walls, wall finish and ceilings, (2)
Removal for re-installation: Curtains, curtain boxes (housing)
and brackets; (3) Construct interior office space fit-up
including flooring, walls, wall finishes and ceilings as shown
in the contract documents; (4) Installation of: Curtains,
curtain boxes (housing) and brackets and; (5) All mechanical
and electrical modification requirements. The location of the
work is the Government of Canada Building, 1045 Main Street,
Moncton, N.B. All work is to be performed in accordance with
the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project Numbers
R.062828.001 forming part of the bid document. The contract
completion is twenty-two (22) weeks after contract award.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on May 12, 2014 at 13:00 hours. All interested
bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Government of
Canada 1045 Main Street, Moncton, New Brunswick. Although not
mandatory, all contractors wishing to submit a tender for this
work are encouraged to attend to become familiar with all
aspects of the work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation. Please note that this will
be the only site visit for this project. No other site visits
will be arranged during the tender period.
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention.
A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 405, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.
The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
category: $350,001 - $400,000 (HST included). Standard bid and
contract security for construction is required.
