Nature of Requirements:
Request for Regional Individual Standing Offer (RISO) to
provide, on an as-needed basis, services related to erection,
welding, heat treatment and making of heavy mechanical parts
(bending, rolling up to ¾'', turning up to 24'' in diameter and
10' long and milling of parts up to 8' x 8') for Defence
Research and Development (R&D) Canada - Valcartier (Quebec).
Most of the work will be done at the supplier address but some
welding, erection, sandblasting and painting work may be done on
site at DRDC Valcartier. When the work must be perform at DRDC
Valcartier, all the personnel of the supplier will be escorted
by DRDC Valcartier personnel at all time.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
1. The Bidder shall be able to perform high-pressure welding in
accordance with the standards of the American Society of
Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Radiographic inspection of welds
may be subsequently done by DRDC Valcartier. The Bidder shall
hold high-pressure welding certification from the Régie du
bâtiment du Québec.
2. Welding shall be performed by a welder approved by the
Canadian Welding Bureau in accordance with the requirements of
Canadian Standards Association standard CSA W47.1-03,
Certification of Companies for Fusion Welding of Steel Division
2. The Bidder shall hold this certification.
Term of Standing Offer: June 1, 2013 to May 31, 2015 (2 years)
with two (2) years in option.
Possibility of one or two tender(s) will (have) be issued(s) for
this application.
The project estimated: $804 825 for 4 years (taxes included)
