Nature of Requirements:
PARKS CANADA RESERVATION SERVICE
Requirement
This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement
of Parks Canada for the provisions and implementation of a Parks
Canada Reservation Service (PCRS) which will replace its current
service and expand its functionality to serve as the main
reservation service to all Parks Canada camping, events and
other reservable activities offered in the National Parks,
National Historic Sites and National Marine Conservation Areas
that PC administers. In addition, the new PCRS needs to provide
the functionality to act as a major portal for passes, permits
and other approved merchandise to be sold online. The new PCRS
includes Call Centre Services, documentation and related
training and professional services for Canada's National Parks
and other reservation related products Managed by Parks Canada.
The PCRS must be provided on a Software as a Service model.

Trade Agreements
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-Chile
Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), Canada-Colombia Free Trade
Agreement (FTA), Canada-Peru Free Trade Agreement (FTA), and the
Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
Term of Contract
The Period of the Contract is from date of Contract to November
1, 2017; and
The period during which the Contract is extended, if Canada
chooses to exercise any options set out in the Contract.
Option to Extend the Contract
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend
the term of the Contract by up to 3 additional 1 year period(s)
under the same conditions.
