Requirement
The Department of National Defence, Canadian Forces Housing
Agency (CFHA) has a requirement for a one (1) year standing
offer with the option of two (2) additional one year periods for
the services of a landscaping Contractor to provide landscaping
and tree services, including but not limited to: 1. Lawn, tree
and shrubbery general maintenance and treatments. 2. Tree and
shrubbery planting, pruning, fertilizing and removal including
stumps. 3. Supply, placement and excavation of soil and fill
and sod installation for the residential housing units at CFB
Kingston, Kingston, Ontario on an as and when required basis.
It is the intention of the Crown to issue one (1) Contract for
this requirement.
The requirement is subject to the following the North American
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Canada-Peru Free Trade
Agreement (CPFTA), Canada-Columbia Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA)
and the Agree on Internal Trade (AIT).
Optional Site Visit
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on February
4, 2014 at 10:00 am,
40 Lundy's Lane, CFB Kingston. Bidders must communicate with the
Contracting Authority no later than two (2) day(s) before the
scheduled visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of
the person(s) who will attend. Bidders who do not confirm
attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
attend as required will not be allowed access to the site.
Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
