Nature of Requirements:
Janitorial Services - Yellowkife, Northwest Territories

Requirement
The provision of all labour, products and materials, tools,
equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide
Janitorial services to the Department of National Defence,
Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

Term of Contract
Period of the Contract
The Work is to be performed during the period of date of award
for one year.

Option to Extend the Contract
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend
the term of the Contract by up to two (2) additional one - year
period(s) under the same conditions. The Contractor agrees
that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be
paid in accordance with the applicable provisions as set out in
the Basis of Payment.

Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written
notice to the Contractor at least ten (10) calendar days before
the expiry date of the Contract. The option may only be
exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced
for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.

Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement (CLCA)
The requirements of the Tlicho, Comprehensive Land Claims
Agreement will apply to the proposed procurement, bidders will
be requested to maximize involvement of local Inuit groups
within the CLCA, and surrounding communities.

The benefits that apply to this procurement are contained in:
Sections 26.3.1, 26.3.1 (a) and 26.4.1 of the Tlicho Agreement
and Annex A, Sheet 26-3 (page 435) of the Tlicho Agreement
Implementation Plan.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT).

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
