Notice Description:
Parks Canada Agency has a requirement for construction services for the demolition and reconstruction of new kiosks and protective crash barriers at the Graham’s Lane entrance of Prince Edward Island National Park. Also included is the addition of an overhead structure capable of carrying 3 LED overhead signs. Elements of this construction project include (but not limited to):
Construction of new kiosks that will meet the needs of staff who require mobility accommodation;
Construction of new roadways that will allow for increased revenue collection as well as the capture of social science data;
Increasing the length of queuing lanes to improve visitor safety.

Bid Security:
Is required. To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated at a value between $500,001 > $ 1,000,000, Taxes extra.
Delivery Date:
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by June 01, 2019.
Information:
National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.
Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.
Inquiries are to be made in writing and should be received no less than seven (7) working days prior to the closing date to allow sufficient time to respond. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered.
The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any procurement.
Documents may be submitted in either official language of Canada.
Site Visit:
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. There will be an optional site visit on Wednesday September 12, 2018 at 10:00am (ADT). Interested bidders are to meet at:

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority before the site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
