Title: Janitorial Services for the Wabush Airport

Trade Agreements:

Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement (CLCAs): No

Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business:
This procurement is set aside under the federal government Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business. For more information on Indigenous business requirements of the Set-aside Program for Indigenous Business, refer to Annex 9.4 of the Supply Manual.

Description of Requirement:
Transport Canada has a requirement to ensure janitorial services are carried out on a daily basis for the travelling public and its employees at the Wabush Airport for the duration of the contract. The Contractor is to supply all labour, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to perform cleaning duties at the Wabush Airport, in Wabush, Newfoundland and Labrador, as specified in Annex “A” - Statement of Work provided.

Period of the Contract:
The period of the Contract is from June 3, 2024 to March 30, 2025.

Optional Site Visit:
An optional site visit will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 starting at 2:00 p.m. Newfoundland Daylight Time (NDT), at the Wabush Airport, in Wabush, Newfoundland and Labrador.

It is recommended that the Contractor, or a representative of the Contractor, visit the site and examine the scope of work and existing conditions. All potential bidders should become familiar with the site before tendering.

Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

The Contractor shall not be entitled to payment in respect of costs incurred for the site visit.

Bidders must contact the Contracting authority by e-mail at T••••••••@••.••.ca to confirm your attendance at the site visit and to provide the name(s) of the person (s) who will attend.

Enquires – Bid Solicitation:
All enquiries must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Authority no later than three (3) calendar days before the bid closing date. Enquiries received after that time may not be addressed prior to the bid closing date.

Process and Selection Methodology:
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The Lowest Bid meeting all the mandatory requirements will be recommended for award of contract.

The Contractor/Offeror personnel requiring access to sensitive work site(s) MUST each hold a valid Reliability Status.
