The Canadian Heraldic Authority is part of the Chancellery of Honours at the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General. Its principal mandate is to create and formalize armorial bearings (coats of arms, flags and badges) for Canadian individuals and corporations.
Every month, large-size documents need to be photographed for archival purposes. Called letters patent, this official document includes the artistic illustration of the armorial bearings accompanied by a legal text. It is signed by the appropriate officials, and the seal of the Canadian Heraldic Authority is applied to it.
The OSGG is seeking digital photography services from a local general commercial photography service provider located in the National Capital Region (NCR). The contractor will assist the Canadian Heraldic Authority with digitally photographing the official heraldic documents and other items for archival purposes on an “as and when required” basis for period of a one (1) year with an option to extend the contract up to four (4) additional one (1) year periods.
