OBJECTIVES:
Subsequent to Request for Information (RFI) #24062-140087/A)
which closed on October 15th, 2013 and as part of the next steps
in the industry engagement process, this Notice is raised to
invite industry to participate in an information Webinar and an
Industry Day on the procurement of Government of Canada
Relocation Support Services (GCRSS). The RFI can be accessed at:
https://buyandsell.gc.ca/procurement-data/tender-noti…
-26343. The GCRSS will support the requirements of the National
Joint Council (NJC) Relocation Directive, The Canadian Armed
Forces (CAF) Integrated Relocation Program (IRP) Directive, and
the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) IRP Directive. A
summary of the RFI highlights will be posted on the following
website:
http://www.tpsgc-pwgsc.gc.ca/app-acq/GCRSS-SSRGC-eng.… .
These services were previously referred to as the Integrated
Relocation Program (IRP) services. The introduction of the name
GCRSS is intended to distinguish the procurement of services
from the IRP applicable to Public Servants, to Members of the
CAF, and to Members of the RCMP.
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) intends to
conduct the new GCRSS procurement in line with the principles of
Smart Procurement. Information about Smart Procurement can be
found at:

nt
The goal of the engagement process for GCRSS is to consider new
and innovative approaches to acquiring GCRSS. It should be
noted that all options are open for discussion and
consideration. Active and broad industry participation is
crucial in the development of the GCRSS requirements and
procurement process. It is expected that this process may
present opportunities (directly or indirectly) for suppliers in
fields other than Relocation Services.
BACKGROUND:
The GCRSS is domestic and international in scope, involving
approximately 15,000 to 20,000 relocation files annually, and is
the supporting arm to relocate qualifying Government of Canada
employees and members of both, the Royal Canadian Mount Police
and the Canadian Armed Forces as well as their families. The
requirement for these services which excludes the movement of
household goods contains three key components:
¢ Advisory Services: policy interpretation and guidance
¢ Financial Services: expense tracking and reimbursements
¢ Directory services: the link to all ancillary services i.e.,
(real estate, lawyers/notaries, home inspectors, appraisals and
rental search assistance).
UPCOMING ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS:
You will have the opportunity to participate in one or both
information sessions that will be conducted in the following
formats:
