THERE IS SECURITY REQUIREMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THIS SOLICITATION).
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
Statistics Canada intends to award one (1) contract pursuant to this request for proposals.
Requirement
Statistics Canada requires the services of a contractor to take inventory and deliver paper to all satellite locations (approximately 175 locations, subject to change) in the following 3 buildings at Statistics Canada Headquarters (HQ) in Ottawa, Ontario:
- R.H. Coats Building – 100 Tunney’s Pasture Driveway (Loading Dock - Main entrance point for contractor) (26 Floors plus basement)
- Main Building – 150 Tunney’s Pasture Driveway (3 Floors plus basement)
- Jean Talon Building – 170 Tunney’s Pasture Driveway (13 Floors plus basement)
Task and Deliverables
To ensure all satellite locations are fully stocked with paper based on current existing par levels.
To adjust par levels as needed.
To deliver paper within 2 days of paper inventory.
For services requirements, Bidders in receipt of a pension or a lump sum payment must provide the required information as detailed in article 3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation.”
Evaluation Process
The mandatory technical criteria include:
MTC1 The Bidder must provide a resource or a list of resources that would be proposed to complete the paper inventory service. (Name, DOB and security clearance number, if available)

MTC2 The Bidder must clearly demonstrate that the Bidder has 2 years experience in conducting and reporting on an inventory.
Period of the Contract
The period of the contract is from date of award to December 31st, 2015, inclusive, with three (3) one-year option periods.
Basis of Selection
Bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation and meet all mandatory technical evaluation criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive bid with the lowest total evaluated price will be recommended for award of a contract.
Debriefings
After contract award, bidders may request a debriefing on the results of the bid solicitation process. Bidders should make the request to the Contracting Authority within 15 working days of receipt of the results of the bid solicitation process. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
