Background :
The primary mission of the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is to ensure public safety by allowingoffenders to develop the attitudes, values and behaviours of law-abiding citizens through various programs. In this context, CSC recognizes that access to employment is a main contributing factor in the correctional strategy.
Therefore, CSC has set the objective to increase the number of offenders who are employed during their release.
Objectives :
Provide job preparation services to offenders incarcerated in federal penitentiaries in the Quebec Region to facilitate their reintegration into society by accompanying them in their efforts to return to the workforce by finding significant and stable employment.
Scope :
Physically present in our institutions, the Contractor shall provide job preparation and support services to incarcerated offenders. These services include administrative services, case management services, report writing and, in particular, the creation and maintenance of partnerships with the employers.
The work covered in the contract will be carried out during the period commencing on the July 1st 2013 and ending on June 31, 2014, inclusive and two options of 12 months each.
Ownership of any foreground intellectual property arising out of the proposed contract will vest with the Contractor.
All of the proposed personnel must be able to obtain CSC security clearance at the Enhanced Reliability level at the time of contract award.
