The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has a requirement for the provision of on and off-site, maintenance and repair services, as well as operator training for the CRA owned powered lift-trucks , as further described in Appendix A. These services are required to ensure the equipment is capable of fully functional operation.
In advance of issuing a formal Request for Proposal (RFP), the CRA is seeking industry feedback to gauge the capabilities of potential bidders to meet the Agency’s requirement.
The CRA has provided a set of questions designed to elicit specific information from the industry. It is hoped that information received from the industry can be used to further improve our strategy and the solicitation documentation.
Suppliers are invited to provide a written submission in response to this Request for Information (RFI), and associated questions. Suppliers that provide written feedback may be invited to a one-on-one consultation session with CRA representatives. This session would allow suppliers to provide additional feedback pertaining to this RFI as well as to verbally explain comments made in their written submission.
The purpose of this RFI is to:
1. Provide industry with an early opportunity to assess and comment on the requirement in order to maximize best value to the Canada Revenue Agency if an RFP is posted;
2. Determine the capability of suppliers to provide services described in the Request for Information and the draft Statement of Work;
3. Solicit industry knowledge and expertise with regard to best practices that would increase the likelihood of the project’s success.
4. Solicit feedback and recommendations from potential bidders on any of the stated requirements in the Appendix A, including any issues that would impact a bidder’s ability to fulfill this CRA requirement.
5. Solicit feedback and information from potential bidders regarding the battery cleaning and disposal processes.
6. Solicit feedback and recommendations on alternative solutions to the financial costing component of this requirement.
Vendors are requested to respond to the questions in Section 2. RFI QUESTIONS in the order shown and submit their responses by: June 21st, 2013 by 2:00 p.m. EDT.
