TRADE AGREEMENTS:
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).
DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENT:
The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) requires the professional services of a Contractor to provide 24/7 domestic (Canadian) and United States of America (USA) credit reporting services and support to CBSA security personnel on an as and when requested basis.
CONTRACT PERIOD:
The period of the contract is for three (3) years from date of contract award with two (2) twelve (12) month option periods to extend the contract under the same terms and conditions.
OPTION PERIODS TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT:
(i) The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of the Contract by up to 2 additional (12) month periods under the same terms and conditions. The Contractor agrees that, during the extended period of the Contract, it will be paid in accordance with the applicable provisions set out in the Basis of Payment.
(ii) Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor before the expiry date of the Contract. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced, for administrative purposes only, through a formal contract amendment.
