CanmetENERGY in Varennes, Québec, is responsible for the scientific aspects of workonphotovoltaic energy for Natural Resources Canada. As part of its R&D projects, CanmetENERGY requires two (2) photovoltaic array simulators to implement automated inverter tests . Inverters will range in size from single module units (about 250 W) tomedium size three-phase commercial units (about 50 kW). Units will also be required to reproduce PV output from high temporal resolution (100 ms) solar irradiance time series obtained in previous research .
In order to be able to test more than oneinverter at the same time (cross-talk studies) or test inverters with more than one input, at least two independent PV array simulator units will be required. However, it is necessary for the sources to be capable of being operated in parallel to maximize the total power capability.
Please refer to the Request for Proposals (RFP) for all the details relating to the requirement. Bids will be assessed in accordance with the entire requirement of the Request for Proposal including the technical and financial evaluation criteria.
