REQUEST FOR STANDING OFFERS (RFSO)
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to establish a National Individual Standing Offer (NISO) to procure radioactive source standards for the calibration of its specialized equipment for the measurement of radioactive decay on an if and when requested basis. These radioactive source standards are used to quantify the energy and efficiency response of Director Nuclear Safety (D N Safe) specialized equipment.
It is DND’s intention to issue one (1) Standing Offer Agreement for a three (3) year period, plus two (2) one-year extended periods.
Eckert & Ziegler or Equivalent Radioactive Source Standards:
Item a, GF-ML, Gamma Multi-nuclide standard - Point source
Item b, EAB-7601-50LB-FP, Gamma Multi-nuclide standard - two (2) inch filter source
Item c, EG-ML - 1.0 g/cc, Gamma Multi-nuclide standard - Beaker source 1.0 g/cc
Item d, EG-ML - 1.5 g/cc, Gamma Multi-nuclide standard - Beaker source 1.5 g/cc
Item e, EG-ML - 2.0 g/cc, Gamma Multi-nuclide standard - Beaker source 2.0 g/cc
Item f, EAB-036-PL-FP, Beta emitter standard - Cl-36 on a filter
Item g, EAB-137-PL-FP, Beta emitter standard - Cs-137 on a filter
Item h, BF-200, Beta emitter standard - Beta calibration set
Item i, EAB-230-PL-FP, Alpha emitter standard - Th-230 on a filter
Usage of the Standing Offer is estimated at one (1) unit per year for each of items a, b, c, d and e and one (1) unit every two (2) years (years 1, 3 and 5) for each of items f, g, h and i. However, a quantity of one (1) unit per item per year will be used for offer evaluation and Offeror selection purposes only.
