IM/IT SMT requires a Senior Procurement Specialist with extensive experience in Public Sector professional services procurement. The Specialist will use their strong background in the collection of client business requirements, the development of Statements of Work and Request for Proposals (RFP), and evaluation techniques and practices to plan, execute and manage the various activities associated with a competitive procurement process to establish new contracting vehicles for specialized professional services and other key resources necessary to support AAFC business needs. In addition, the resource will apply their project management expertise to plan and manage the procurement process from planning through to contract award and will prepare lessons learned and best practices for future procurement processes. Using their extensive understanding of the local National Capital Region (NCR) market as well as other domestic and international markets, the Procurement Specialist will develop appropriate procurement strategies and provide procurement related guidance, advice and recommendations to IM/IT SMT and other stakeholders.
