2. PURPOSE OF THE REQUIREMENT
The Spectophotometer will be used in the Tree Fruit Physiology Program at SuRDC, for plant physiology and molecular biology research that is important for yield and fruit quality of tree fruit crops.
The Spectophotometer will be used to measure concentrations of plant pigments and DNA/RNA/protein. The rapid mixing function will be used for rapid kinetics, to detect water transport capacities of aquaporins, a transmembrane protein family that play crucial roles in plant water relations. The exchangeable systems will make a seemless switch between the measurement on large amount of samples and the measurement of small amount with ultra precision.
All the deliverables must be received on or before March 31, 2020.
