Full description

Canadian Heritage has a requirement for the above-mentioned categories of resources, with a single vendor, to assist in the design, implementation and closing of information systems projects that support the work of the department.

The following descriptions are brief outlines of the major initiatives underway and applicable to this requirement.

SAP Netweaver Business Warehouse (BW) Developer Initiative

The Departmental Financial and Materiel System in place at both Canadian Heritage (PCH) and Parks Canada Agency (PCA) is SAP version ECC 6.0 also internally known as STAR. SAP is a shared enterprise-wide system that was sanctioned by Treasury Board Secretariat as suitable for financial and materiel management within the Federal Government. That application has been in Production mode since 1998 at PCH and continues to evolve.
In addition, PCH has undertaken the implementation of the SAP Business Intelligence/Business Warehouse (BI/BW) Reporting Tool version 7.4 jointly with Agriculture Canada (AAFC) in a shared technical landscape (multi-tenant environment). As the BI functionality is a relatively new area of endeavor for the Federal Government of Canada, PCH will require the services of an experienced SAP BI/BW Consultant to primarily assist with data modeling, design and build of related queries.
