Description of Work:
Background
The Government of Canada currently has over 100 separate email systems. Maintaining these individually, given the varying types and numbers of systems, is neither cost-effective nor is it conducive to collaboration across government.
Departments are currently using various email systems, including different versions. To manage all of these different email systems, departments have adopted a variety of rules and practices. Maintaining and negotiating a variety of licenses and systems is expensive, and technical support and training are labor intensive.
The Email Transformation Initiative will consolidate and modernize email services to reduce costs, increase security and enhance program delivery to Canadian citizens and businesses.
The Email Transformation Initiative (ETI) consists of two major phases:
- Planning and procurement: This includes identifying requirements, engaging stakeholders and industry, developing the architecture and design, and transition planning;
- Implementation: This includes standing up the new system and migrating partner organizations to the new system and training them how to use it.
Bidders must submit one bid for the resource category.
Security Requirement:
Minimum Corporate Security Required: Designated Organization Screening (DOS) - Secret
