ELECTRIC VEHICLE BATTERY CYCLING SYSTEM
31184-177586
General:
The National Research Council (NRC) of Canada’s Energy, Mining and Environment Portfolio (EME), has a requirement for a design, fabrication, commissioning, supply, user training and installation of an electric vehicle battery cycler testing system ("BCTS").
Technical Specifications include (but are not limited to):
*The BCTS must have two channels that can be run independently and as one combined channel.
*The BCTS must have a voltage range of 30 VDC to 400 VDC per channel.
*The BCTS must have a current range of -250A to 250A per channel.
*The BCTS must have a power of 100 kW per channel.
*The BCTS must have a power of 200kW continuous for both channels; either input or output, and in combination.
*The BCTS must have a dual current range setting of 20A to 250A.
*The combined single channel must be able to provide from -500A to 500A, within the voltage ranges of 30VDC to 400VDC ("parallel mode").
*The combined single channel must be able to provide up to a maximum of 800 VDC and 250A, between 60VDC and 800VDC ("series mode").
*The BCTS must have an AC input (voltage/phase/frequency) of 600V, 3 phase and 60 Hz.
*The BCTS, when operating at full-scale voltage, must have a minimum voltage resolution of 100 mV.
*The BCTS, when operating at full-scale voltage, must have a minimum current resolution of 50 mA.
*The BCTS, when operating at full-scale voltage, must have a minimum temperature resolution of 0.5°C.
*The BCTS requires 24 thermistor auxiliary ports.
*The BCTS requires 120 thermocouples auxiliary ports (type T, Copper-Constantan or universel type).
*The BCTS requires 120 analog VDC voltage auxiliary ports configured for -5V to +5V, at a minimum resolution of 0.1% full scale.
*The BCTS requires 24 analog voltage auxiliary ports configured for -50 to 50 VDC, at a minimum resolution of 0.1% full scale.
*Maximum heat generated under all operations of the unit must be kept below 20kW.
*The BCTS must be CSA certified at the time of bid.
*The BCTS and auxiliary hardware shall not exceed a sound level of 85 dB at any time.
