Nature of Requirements:
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for
six (6) complete CAF CBRN Decontamination Systems that include
decontaminant and surrogate, equipment, spare parts and
consumables, training, ILS, and ISS. Two (2) resulting contracts
will be awarded at the same time to a single contractor as a
result of this competitive process.
The first contract, Acquisition of the CAF CBRN Decontamination
Systems Contract, will be for the delivery of six (6) CAF CBRN
Decontamination Systems, including decontaminant, surrogate,
ILS, and training. This contract will include an option to
purchase up to three (3) additional CAF CBRN Decontamination
Systems within thirty (30) months after contract award. DND

excluding options, to be $30,000,000.00 Cdn. The period of this
contract will be for thirty-six (36) months from award.
The second contract, ISS for the CAF CBRN Decontamination
System, will have an initial period of five (5) years with the

periods under the same conditions, which would cover the
expected life cycle of the equipment. This contract will include
Core Work, as well as Task Authorizations for services including
Special Investigations and Technical Studies (SITS), and
Technical Investigative and Engineering Support Services (TIES).
In addition, Requisitions on Contract (ROC) will be utilized to
purchase spare parts and consumables on an "as and when
requested" basis. Canada may exercise the options in part by
advising which of the Core Work is being optioned by Canada. In
the event that Canada does not exercise an option for Core Work,
Canada may exercise the option for spare parts and consumables
and Taskings.
