LIFT MODULE AND SYSTEM

The National Research Council - Automotive and Surface
Transportation (NRC-AST) has a requirement for the supply of a
railcar lifting system to be used throughout the AST Uplands
facility located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The current method
of using hydraulically controlled jacks placed on shims and
stands is quite cumbersome and poses a potential safety risk.
The new lifting system will be transportable and configurable
for the use of lifting various empty or loaded railcars for
maintenance purposes.

The railcar lifting system is to be in accordance with the
statement of requirement included in the Request for Proposal.
