Nature of Requirements:
Environment Canada (EC) National Radar Program has a requirement
for a C-Band Weather Radar system to test and evaluate recent
advances in operational weather radar technology. It is expected
that the new technology would help to improve Environment
Canada's radar network in order to deliver more efficient,
reliable and accurate weather services. EC is seeking
information on current marketplace capabilities and interest to
work collaboratively with EC to provide this advanced technology
to meet future business requirements. For clarity, EC is not
seeking to replicate its existing technology nor business
processes, but rather, is targeting a market leader with
existing technical capability and knowledge of the Radar System
to support the modernization of current and future business
operations.
