Nature of Requirements:
Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer System,
Edmonton, Alberta.
The Prairie and Northern Laboratory for Environmental Testing
has a requirement for an Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical
Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) System. The System must consist
of a computer-controlled, inductively coupled plasma optical
emission spectrometer (ICP-OES) for the analysis of metals in a
wide range of environmental sample types such as Fresh Waters,
Ground Waters, Waste Waters, Industrial Effluents, and Solid
Sample Digestates (Soils, Sediments, Vegetation, Biological
Tissues, etc.). The instrument will be used as a forensic
analysis tool for the enforcement of Canadian environmental
regulations under the Canadian Environmental Protection Act,
Fisheries Act and other related acts and regulations. Data
produced from this instrument may be entered into a court of law
for the purposes of prosecution.
The System must be delivered, fully assembled, installed and
tested by the Contractor to ensure proper operation.
Delivery and installation are mandatory to be completed no later
than March 31, 2013.
Under the Code of Conduct and Certification provisions, Bidders
must submit the following as part of their bid:
1. a complete list of names of all individuals who are
currently directors of the Bidder;
2. a properly completed and signed Consent Form, for each
individual named in the aforementioned list.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
