Environment Canada has a requirement for the supply and delivery
of one (1) Pressure Calibration System. All the deliverables
must be received ninety (90) days from date of contract award.
The proposed bidders must meet all mandatory criteria detailed
in the Request for Proposal document.
Some of the mandatory criteria are provided below. Refer to the
Request for Proposal for the complete list.
M1. The bidder must provide documentation demonstrating that
their proposed Pressure Calibration System meets the
following minimum specifications:
The pressure calibration system must be compatible with high
purity nitrogen and/or dry air as a delivery medium for the
instrumentation under calibration (gas based system)
The system must have both absolute (vacuum reference) and gauge
(ambient atmospheric reference) calibration. Connection to
vacuum pump as an absolute reference must be provided and a bell
jar or equivalent must be included to permit evacuation of the
pressure system below ambient pressure
The resolution of the system must be 1 ppm of applied pressure
or less
The system must include two ranges (typically achieved with two
distinct piston assemblies)
Range 1: Nominally 1 kPa (kiloPascal) to nominal 170 kPa
Range 2: Nominally 10 kPa to nominal 7,000 kPa
M2. The Bidder must provide a copy of their systems ISO 17025
certificate of calibration, traceable to NRC-Canada or
NIST-USA.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
