Parabolic VSAT with embedded modem
The Department of National Defence, Canadian Forces Joint Signal
Regiment (CFJSR) is responsible for providing communications
support to Canadian Forces (CF) Operations, both overseas and
domestic. One of the key capabilities is the Network Gated by
Remote Infrastructure (NGRI), which provides remote DWAN and
CSNI network access. Currently the Satcom method for the NGRI to
access the CF networks is via BGAN. (This is costly and first
come first serve bandwidth). The deployment of the Wideband
Global Satellite (WGS) constellation will provide the CF with
robust, assured Satcom access. CFJSR is looking to upgrade our
Satcom capability to take advantage of WGS. However, until WGS
provides global coverage, theVSAT must be capable of accessing
commercial satellites.
The goods must be met for this VSAT terminal:
1. ARSTRAT Certification for WGS X operations
2. Ruggedized to current Military Standards - MIL-STD-810G.

Power Amplifier when not in use to extend battery power.

applies to both frequency bands.
12. Good must be ARSTRAT certified at time of bidding.
