Nature of Requirements:
Equipment Installation Technicians - Edmonton, Alberta
Requirement
The Department of National Defence - Edmonton, Alberta requires
the direct skilled labour, tools, equipment and supervision to
support the installation of Communications equipment hardware
and cabling within the various platforms and vehicles tasked to
the Land Forces - Department of National Defence on a "as and
when requested" basis. All installation work will be performed
within the Edmonton Garrison, Edmonton Alberta.
The Technicians are required to perform the installation of the
required system hardware mounting brackets and cabling including
but not limited to;
Install all equipment mounting hardware, cables and power
routing hardware;
a. Inspect platform for tie and bolt point manufacture
compliance;
b. install all System IKEE components;
c. ensure system power services are correct and functional;
d. install all associated system cables; and;
e. install all work stations.
Platform retrofit:
a. When required, Correct previous system deficiencies by
performing retrofit of IKEE;
b. Indentify to the TA deficiencies within the platform that
prevent installation of the IKEE;
c. If possible, assist the TA in developing IKEE retrofit
solutions; and;
d. when required inspect previously installed IKEE for required
retrofit action.

The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement
on Internal Trade (AIT).
