The principal objectives of the project are:
Design development, construction drawings and specifications
To provide CFIA with sealed drawings, construction ready, signed by an engineer licensed in the Province, in conformance with the criteria specified in applicable codes and standards, contract documents and manufacturer’s instruction. The repair methodology shall be tailored towards the work required to remove existing, buried, process waste water piping and to replace with jacketed style piping system. Approximately 50 meters of piping will be replaced from the foundation wall of the main building to the inlet of the waste water blending tank. The final drawing package shall include all design work necessary to remove the existing cathodic protected piping, evaluate the trench soil conditions and stiffness category to ensure it supports the new piping system, installation of the new system, all connections necessary to connect to the existing system, provide a watertight system at all field joints, backfill, road work and asphalt necessary to restore the site back to its present condition.
