The Department intends to post documents for the following opportunity by the end of Q3, 2026:

TECHNICAL EXPERT FOR THE GHOST RESERVOIR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT PROCUREMENT AND DELIVERY PROCESS

Technical Expert will support the Department in the advancement of the Ghost Reservoir Infrastructure Project (GRIP). The project scope will include, but not be limited to:

  • A new dam structure downstream from the existing Ghost Lake Hydroelectric Plant;
  • Supporting infrastructure for the new facility including access roads, support structures and transmission lines;
  • Relocation of utilities and rail line adjacent to the new reservoir limits;
  • Decommissioning, relocation and, removal of the existing Ghost Lake Hydroelectric Plant and supporting facilities; and
  • Support all regulatory and environmental requirements and activities associated with regulatory approvals including mitigation scope of work.

The role of the Technical Expert will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Advancement of Feasibility Study Results
  • Procurement Delivery Model for Construction
  • Engineering Design
  • Federal and Provincial Regulatory Approvals as applicable
  • Support for Consultation and Engagement activities with stakeholders
  • Project Procurement
  • Contract Administration
