RF Signal Generator, Cold Lake, Alberta
Aerospace Engineering Test Establishment (AETE) conducts test
flights programs with the primary objective of providing mission
capable weapons systems and platforms. To that end, AETE
operates the Flight Test Control Room (FTCR). This facility is
employed in the conduct of flight test programs to collect,
process and display real-time telemetry data from an
instrumented test vehicle. Presently the Flight Test Control
Room employs one aging (14 years) RF signal simulator that is no
longer operating at full capability. Typical useful life for an
electronic device would be about10 years. As well the rapid
advances being made in RF modulation schemes over the last
decade. We are well past the useful lifetime of this device. We
have a need to acquire a new RF Signal Generator Receiver Test
Set.
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT).
