The Department of Fisheries and Oceans requires the services of a Technology Architect to provide expertise and assistance in the areas of application design, implementation, integration, testing, deployment and maintenance in support of the National Electronic Access Solution project (eAccess), a highly customized application which provides centralized authentication integration support to DFO online applications using the Government of Canada’s Cyber Authentication, GCKey, a service mandated by Treasury Board for all Government of Canada public facing applications. eAccess provides seamless integration with GCKey and enables single sign-on across multiple DFO applications.
Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Capture and analyze client requirements.
Track and resolve client reported incidents and problems.
Assist IM&TS as required with application development and maintenance to improve system functionality.
Assist DFO IT personnel in gaining the expertise required to take over support of this important system.
Test bug fixes and new releases.
Architecture review.
Implementation of IT security control functions.
Task authorizations will be issued for all work on an “as and when required basis”.
