AMENDMENT 001

This Request For Proposal has been extended to close on February
10th, 2015.

Summary

Defence R&D Canada has a requirement for the design, assemble,
test, and deliver to Defence Research Development Canada (DRDC)
an underwater parametric array system, consisting of one or more
transducers, a high power amplifier, cables, and supports. The
goal is to deliver to DRDC a system that can be used in an
existing tank currently used by DRDC for underwater acoustic
materials characterization. The amplifier and parametric array
transducers must produce narrow beam signals suitable for small
panel characterization over a 5-20 kHz frequency range (design
goal). This contract requires familiarity / expertise in
parametric arrays, underwater acoustics, and high frequency/high
power amplifiers.

Deliverables

In addition to the return of all non-expended items (equipment,
software, books, etc.) acquired by the Contractor in support of
this requirement and claimed for against the contract, the
deliverables shall be:

· Amplifier for driving parametric array transducers
· Parametric array transducers
· Cables for connecting amplifier to parametric array transducers
· Station for mounting parametric array in DRDC testing tank
· MATLAB® or other code written in support of this work
· Results of calculations performed in electronic format
(Matlab, Excel, or ASCII file format)
· Final report
· Equipment installation/ testing and training session provided
by Contractor personnel at the Dockyard Laboratory (Atlantic),
located in Building D-20, HMC Dockyard, Halifax.

The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods
and/or services.

Bid evaluation will be based on point rated evaluation criteria.
The responsive bid, within the current funding limitation of
$65,000.00, applicable taxes extra, for the currently funded
work, with the highest total overall points will be recommended
for award of a contract.

The work will begin immediately upon contract award and will be
completed by 31 August 2015.
