Aquatic Control & Monitoring System
The Aquatic Life Research Facility (ALRF) is a state-of-the-art,
multiuser aquatic research facility that is located at the
Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW) in Burlington, Ontario.
Studies in this laboratory comprise fish and aquatic life health
in the contexts of toxicant and stressor exposures. It was
designed to create and maintain ideal conditions for the housing
of experimental animals and follows all of the Canadian Council
for Animal Care guidelines. Built as a joint project between
Environment Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, it provides
adequate space for scientists, graduate students, and university
partners to carry out their research.
The contractor must supply, deliver and install a comprehensive
monitoring and control system for the ALRF. The installed system
must utilize existing control points and equipment where
possible, tying those inputs into the software interfaces. All
Contractor equipment added must be compatible with the existing
BASE building control system, which uses BACNet control system.
All the deliverables must be received within eight (8) weeks of
contract award.
