An Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) allows department and

tendering process.

2. Definition of requirements and sole source justification

The US / Canada Joint Border Facility opened on September 29,
2003 and is a unique facility as it is compiled of five
buildings each with separate HVAC system. The entire
portfolio is built on 10 hectares of land and the Main Port
Building is exactly on the border. The warranty expired on
September 29, 2005 for the Main Port Building (MPB), Canadian
Tertiary Building (CTI), United States Secondary Inspection
Building (USIB), and the United States Commercial Inspection
Building (UCI). The Canadian Commercial Inspection Building
(CCI) was on warranty until August 31, 2006.

The semi-annual inspections are to ensure that the HVAC systems
are in top operating condition for the changing seasons, to
address operating concerns and to make adjustments to the
programming sequences to meet changing needs. This service
includes any upgrades to software at no extra cost.
