Full description

The Office of Postgraduate Medical Education in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry submitted a competitive bid exception request for two Sim Baby Mankins from Laerdal Medical Canada Ltd. These infant simulation mannequins are essential for meeting the residents training, competency, and accreditation requirements in pediatric care. The purchase is from the same vendor currently supporting our SIM manikin replacement project, allowing us to secure a significant discount through a trade-in of existing equipment. It includes the high-fidelity simulators as well as the software program from Laerdal Medical Canada Ltd, which is called LLEAP. This software program manages all PC operated Laerdal simulators from one unified platform which facilitates enhanced functioning and learning capabilities for all our students in simulation. Purchasing Laerdal simulators will ensure that they will be compatible with the LLEAP technology and the other Sim Mankins currently in use.
