The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase the 128 channel GES 400 EEG system including EEG head caps, EEG amplifier, computer, equipment cart, software, and warranty from Magstim EGI (EGI). The GES 400 is a scientific research instrument designed for performing measurements and acquiring data for neurophysiological research. Department of Clinical Neurosciences requires this MRI-compatible 128 channel EEG system to be used in its Seizure Monitoring Unit to perform Electrical Source Imaging for research and clinical purposes. EGI’s GES 400 offers a complete plug and play solution for HD-EEG, including the amplifier, acquisition computer, software, and electrode nets required for data acquisition, review, and processing. In additional, EGI’s Electronic Source Imaging equipment and software are Health Canada approved. It is the department’s understanding that EGI is the only supplier capable of meeting their research and operational requirements.
