The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase four automated electrical resistivity tomography (A-ERT) systems IGOT, University of Lisbon, that are required for permafrost research in northern Manitoba. This system measures a 2D subsurface electrical resistivity distribution over time. Each A-ERT system includes an earth resistivity meter, switchbox, electrodes, cables and solar panel.
To the research team’s knowledge, there are no other comparable systems on the market.
