The University of Calgary (UCalgary) plans to purchase the Rigaku Benchtop MiniFlex 6G X-ray diffractometer (XRD). This system will be used in multi-user environments for phase identification, crystallinity analysis, quantitative analysis and advanced materials characterization. In the research team’s opinion, this is the only benchtop XRD system that meets their share multi-user operations and specialized technical requirements for advanced materials research that will support ongoing and future research in materials science, nanotechnology, and polymer composites.
