The University of Calgary intends to purchase four (4) Highland Machinery environmental chambers for the Bamfield Marine Science Center. These are custom-designed to specifically support nursery operations and rearing of animals and cultivating kelp. These chambers are required for the large-scale manipulative kelp reforestation experimental project. The nurseries must meet federal Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and CCAC requirements. The chambers will be paired with Integrated Aqua interior life support systems. To the research team’s knowledge, no other suppliers can provide kelp nurseries required to the exact custom
specifications meeting CFIA and CCAC requirements.
