The University of Calgary intends to purchase a Leica LMD7 with Thunder imaging microscope system with four year extended warranty that will be used for collecting high spatial resolution samples for proteomics work. The current request is to capture whole cells from tissue in their natural environment utilizing a microscopy-guided cell-cutting strategy.
To the research team’s knowledge, Leica is the sole supplier and this is the only system that has the dedicated technology for automatic sectioning tissue samples, under the guidance of microscope imaging, to provision proteomics experiments.
