The University of Calgary intends to purchase Leica Biosystems suite of histological equipment including water bath, slide drier, stainer, with service contracts, required for continued automated tissue processing, staining and microscopy for comparative musculoskeletal histology studies in the lab.
This new equipment will be added to existing Leica products that are extensively used in the lab. A unified Leica platform is mandatory to ensure full compatibility with existing consumables, parts, protocols and training programs. To eliminate risk of inconsistencies in automated workflows that can compromise data reproducibility and throughput, a critical requirement for the research is that Leica systems are purchased.
