The University of Calgary (UCalgary) plans to purchase two compact Invitrogen EVOS M5000 fluorescence imaging systems with extended warranties, for the University of Calgary’s Containment Level 3 (CL3) facility. These single compact integrated units include microscope, digital camera, computer, modular high-powered fluorescence lighting system and LCD displays. The systems will enable advanced live and fixed cell imaging, and include capabilities for brightfield, phase contract, true color and fluorescence to support research activities. Systems are also able to accommodate flasks, multi-well plates and slides for multicellular imaging.
