The University of Calgary (UCalgary) plans to purchase Med Associates Inc. modular behavioral operant test chambers with Med-PC 6 software (SOF-737) for windows, MedLab 8 Utility package and PC VI 64 bit software for use with mice and rats. Also included are modified tops and associated accessories for use with rats. The lab has existing Med Associates Inc chambers used for research. Med Associates Inc is the sole manufacturer of their hardware and software and do not use US distributors. All hardware and software are manufactured on site at their Vermont location, and all sales are made out of this location as well. To the team’s knowledge, there are no other equivalent systems available that meet all requirements including the measurement mode(s), modular components, software, and integration with existing infrastructure and legacy data, required.
