The University of Calgary intends to award purchase of a NanoSight Pro nanoparticle characterization (NTA) instrument, NSPro Green laser with fluorescence filter, with Nanosight Xplorer software and 4 year extended warranty to Malvern Panalytical.
To the universities’ knowledge, the NanoSight Pro is the only NTA instrument that uses a syringe pump to provide a continuous flow of new particles into the sample chamber when operating in Fluorescence Mode, thereby removing particles that have experienced photobleaching. When used in Light Scatter mode, the data are more robust due to improved sampling statistics. It is our understanding that Malvern Panalytical is the sole supplier that can provide an instrument with the Nanosight software with the nanoparticle tracking analysis (NTA) capability required for research.
