The University of Calgary intends to enter into an agreement for the provision of specialized survey research services to support an ongoing research program examining Canadian attitudes toward national defence and security issues. The project is intended to generate statistically robust public opinion data to support academic research, scholarly publications, policy analysis, and grant-funded research objectives.
The successful supplier will be responsible for the design support, programming, administration, and management of a series of six probability-based survey experiments involving approximately 2,400 Canadian adult respondents. Services include respondent recruitment, questionnaire programming and testing, bilingual survey translation, survey administration, statistical tabulation, coding of open-ended responses, reporting, and delivery of anonymized datasets suitable for academic analysis.
Given the methodological requirements of the research program, the University requires a supplier with demonstrated expertise in probability-based public opinion research, national respondent recruitment, and complex experimental survey administration. In addition, the supplier must be capable of maintaining methodological consistency with previously completed survey waves to ensure the resulting data remains suitable for longitudinal analysis and comparative research purposes. Continuity of methodology is critical to ensuring the validity and comparability of research findings over time
