The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to purchase an upgraded NMR Console Avance NEO-X 400 MHZ Nanobay system from Bruker Ltd. The UCalgary Science Chemical Instrumentation Facility currently operates four Bruker NMR spectrometers (400, 400, 500, and 600 MHz). All NMR hardware, software, and accessories are manufactured by Bruker, ensuring continuity of operations, training, and maintenance. Non-Bruker components are incompatible with existing Bruker instrumentation and would introduce significant technical risk, including degraded performance, loss of OEM warranty and service support, increased downtime and added operational complexity. Due to technical, proprietary, and warranty constraints and to ensure full compatibility with the existing Bruker Ultra-Shielded Plus (US+) superconducting magnet, as well as maintain consistency with the other NMR systems in the facility to maintain smooth facility operations, the upgrade must be purchased directly from the OEM. To the facility’s knowledge, there are no authorized third-party resellers or system integrators capable of providing comprehensive Bruker NMR upgrades, and Bruker Ltd is the only supplier that can provide the required NMR system upgrades.
